It's nice to meet you! I am a licensed therapist in NJ and PA, offering virtual services to LGBTQIA2-S folks ages 14 years and up.

My clinical focuses include complex attachment trauma, PTSD and crisis, healing from internalized shame and oppression, deepening self-understanding, self-esteem and self-worth, and living out joy in identity.

I have extensive experience working with folks exploring and evolving within their gender, sexual, and our many other identities. Sessions with me often lead to an in-depth exploration of each client's lived experience, deconstructing how oppression and discrimination have impacted the emotional, psychological, social, and physical aspects of development and fostering a personalized approach to honoring their authentic selves.

About Elle

My Identity

I am a queer, ADHD, white, straight-sized therapist committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized people. My approach to supporting others is rooted in breaking down systems of oppression, fat liberation, and uplifting client agency. I am process-oriented, meaning I most value engaging in an in-depth process of growth with my clients over several months and years, therefore my relationship with clients is often long-term. My therapist lens is deeply influenced by my lived experience as a caregiver of two kiddos, my trauma story, my sexuality, my gender, my neurodivergence, and my own journey through depression and anger. I cherish my relationships with clients and their loved ones, developing relationships lasting over months or years. I am also available for "tune-ups" months or years after weekly therapeutic work has concluded.

I actively devote my practice to advancing racial, gender, and social equity and am committed to promoting positive and lasting social change through my clinical work, advocacy, activism, and relationships. I make this commitment knowing that my own points of privilege guarantee I will, at times, fall short. I continually seek personal and clinical development opportunities to adapt and pursue new ways of thinking and serving my clients.

Training and Affiliations

I am a trained EMDR clinician. I use this knowledge in sessions as appropriate alongside other strategies such as parts work, somatic (body/mind) integration, mindfulness, psychodynamic exploration, and identity alignment. I am currently working towards certification in this area. I also have extensive training in trauma and OCD, managing depression and suicidality, neurodivergence, and sexuality/gender identity development.

I am a member of WPATH, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, and a GALAP pledge signer, offering letter-writing services for trans folks seeking HRT or surgery at no cost. I am proudly listed in the Kink Aware Professionals Directory and the Poly-Friendly Professionals Directory.

Education

I have a BA in Musical Theater from Wagner College and an MA in Counseling Psychology from The College of New Jersey.

Individual and Partner Therapy

I meet with clients ages 14+ weekly for 50-minute sessions, with 75-minute sessions available as needed. The duration of therapy is variable and depends on you and what you'd like to work on. Clients in individual therapy have described feeling validated and restored after sessions, finding much of our work enlightening and immediately applicable in their lives. Each session provides an opportunity to develop a deeper awareness of needs, desires, and patterns, explore identities, reprocess trauma, and strengthen compassion and curiosity in Self.

I welcome partners in all styles of relationships who seek to grow authenticity, trust, and connection in their relationships. I approach relationship work through a relational, attachment, and feminist lens, using elements of Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to deepen the bond between partners. I welcome people in ethically non-monogamous relationships, including polyamorous and open relationships and BDSM/kink practitioners and community members.

Gender-Affirming Support Letters

Oct 2023 Update: I am fully booked for letter writing through January unless someone cancels. I limit the number of letters I write to 2 per month to ensure fidelity in the process. If there are no slots with me available or you require a letter sooner than my next available slot, please revisit the GALAP directory to contact other providers.

I am committed to providing access to gender-affirming care for medical transition without unnecessary gatekeeping practices. I offer assessments and letters to people seeking medical transition at no cost. I have written numerous medical letters on behalf of trans and nonbinary folks that surgeons and insurance companies have accepted.

Sessions are 60 minutes, and questions are limited to pertinent information only to your medical needs/transition. Turnaround time for letters is generally 2 or 3 days unless otherwise discussed.
